More than 20 years’ experience of IT and web technologies, much of it for divisions of the Daily Mail group, means Dan combines cutting-edge technical knowledge with commercial awareness and business development expertise.
Ideally placed to advise on all aspects of technology in business - he knows what makes websites successful in terms of audience engagement and conversions to sales having steered many technology projects and teams to national and international success.
Dan established Adaptive in 2005, and has handpicked highly-skilled team members who share his values for quality work and transparently honest customer service.
Personal interests include keeping two kids, a wife, two dogs, two guinea pigs, a cat and a pony entertained/fed/watered. Alpacas and chickens are next on the list apparently...
Steve knows Drupal inside out - from the perspective of both a developer AND a customer. He combines sound technical skills with a thorough and passionate approach to customer service. Steve plans and runs our customer training and is adept at making this flexible and powerful technology easy to understand and use every day.
Before joining Adaptive in May 2009, Steve ran award-winning websites for the internet division of the Daily Mail group and has experience of the retail industry, broadcast and print media as well as online.
Away from the office, Steve spends his spare time out and about with his wife and son, editing his own local community website - Spondon Online - and indulging his TV and radio anorak tendencies.
A qualified technical project manager, Pete has more than 15 years’ experience in delivering website design and web application development projects with a strong commercial focus. His background in graphic design, coupled with strong technical skills means Pete is able to bridge the gap between any business and brand concerns which customers may have and the complex world of web development and content management systems.
Elaine has led major public and private sector website development projects - including a BAFTA-award winning venture funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
An experienced project and quality manager, she held senior roles in the internet division of the Daily Mail group following a 15-year career as a journalist/news editor on regional and national newspaper titles.
A keen amateur actor and supporter of animal charities, Elaine also runs the pet bereavement website Lost and Fond on a voluntary basis and regularly appears on stage with Burton-on-Trent's Little Theatre Company.
A founding partner of Adaptive in 2005, Matt had previously worked with Dan Frost on many commercially successful web projects for the Daily Mail group. He possesses an extremely broad technical skill set including .NET, PHP, XML, MS SQL, MySQL, javscript, jquery - and virtually every other web technology you can envisage.
Like all the Adaptive team he is focused on usability and commercial considerations and tailors his advice and solutions to the specific needs and objectives of the customer. Despite the depth of his technical knowledge, for Matt it’s all about the right solution for the client – it’s not about using technology for the sake of it.
Matt's interests outside work include campaigning on local issues, occasional visits to Port Vale, graphic design, reading, rearing three young kids, and when time allows the odd bit of painting (watercolours mostly). He's also webmaster of hyperlocal community site My Tunstall.
| The Adaptive team bring far more than technical skills to the party. Their extensive knowledge of the web and how it can best be used for businesses is second to none. |
