The Google Mini is a very powerful and scalable search appliance that is suitable for both intranet and public site deployments. It's a very flexible and reliable appliance that allows multiple interfaces, searching over file systems and websites.

We have implemented the Google Mini for the UK Highways Agency, amongst others, with much success.

Our in-depth knowledge of search engines, web technology and Google Mini enables us to assist in all aspects of Google Mini implementation. Many issues are not problems with the Google Mini/Search appliance itself - they are often crawling or structure issues with the target website. Our deep understanding of search engines and web technology are key skills to resolving these issues as quickly and easily as possible.

The Google Mini is a 1U appliance that can index up to 300,000 documents. There are two Search Appliance variants (2U and 5U respectively) that can index up to 10,000,000 and 30,000,000 documents respectively. All are based on the same core technology and we are able to manage any variation.

We have found these appliances to be fairly reliable and flexible. There were some minor indexing issues with early versions of software but this can be resolved with updates and in some cases, some minor changes to the target website(s). One of they key benefits is the quality and speed of results - it really is "Google in a box".

We have found the hardware to be very reliable and performance to be exceptional.
