Case study one
Adaptive were engaged by EducationCity.com to take over the support and development of their website early in 2012.
Having original developed the website in-house using an internal developer, EducationCity.com were left with a dilemna when thatr developer left the company.
Adaptive were asked to pick up the reins on the project, initially on a temporary basis, and we were able to very quickly get up to speed with the website, ensuring a seamless transition in support services once the developer had left, and helping the company to quickly resolve a number of outstanding issues they had had on the website in the process.
Such was the success of our takeover of the support services, that EducationCity.com quickly decided to make it a permanent arrangement rather than recruit another internal resource to the job.
In addiitonal to providing support for the site, Adaptive were then engaged to redevelop the Drupal build later in 2012, creating a new, cleaner install of the Drupal CMS to make the admin usage of the site much easier, while also applying a brand new design to the site and ensuring that the user journey was much clearer and easier to follow. The immediate result of the redevelopment was a huge increasde int eh number of free trial requests being generated via the website.
Ongoing, Adaptive continue to provide regular Drupal support to EducationCity.com to ensure the platform continues to evolve to the needs of both the business and their customers.
Case study two
Adaptive have been providing Drupal support and development services to the Walk4Life website since 2011 after the team behind the site, Walk England, decided to move the support provision away from the original developer of the website to a new supplier.
Many elements of the build are quite bespoke in nature, utilising a large number of custom-built modules and also tying in closely with the Ordnance Survey mapping services.
Adaptive were able get up to grips with the new site in a very short timeframe, enabling Walk England to catch up quickly on a number of outstanding new requirements for the website that they needed.
Our relationship with the Walk England team has gone from strength to strength over the past two years, with Adaptive not only continuing to provide Drupal support on the site but also add a number of additional major developments to the website. We have also successfully delivered a number of spin-off services from the website, including integration with the Walk London website, tie-ns with the Walk4Life iPhone app and also the provision of bespoke fucntionality for a marketing promotion with Tesco.
Case study three
Adaptive were approached by a client who had a existing Drupal-based website which had been built by another developer.
The client found the CMS difficult to use and was frustrated that the site didn't deliver a number of their requirements. However, the client had spoken to one of their contacts, an existing Drupal client of Adaptive's, who had reported a completely different and wholly positive experience in using the Drupal site built for them by Adaptive.
Realising that the issues lay more in the way their Drupal installation has been designed and implemented, rather than the Drupal platform itself, the client contacted us here at Adaptive to discuss what improvements we could make to the site.
Working together, we identified a number of issues with the Drupal site and were able to recommend a series of improvements to the site via better use of Drupal modules such as Views, Imagecache and WYSIWYG to enhance the admin user's experience with the Drupal CMS.
