Case Study: New site launches for UCB
We are delighted to have started the year with the launch of the brand new website for UCB – United Christian Broadcasters.
The new front-end site is based on a design provided by UCB’s in-house marketing team and showcases all that UCB offers in terms of their radio, TV and print services. The new site also details the background to UCB’s mission, demonstrates how the organisation helps people all around the world and also shows how website visitors can get involved, support UCB and help spread the word.
At the heart of the new Drupal development is a complex integration between the site and two of UCB’s other key tools – their CRM system, Raiser’s Edge, and their email marketing service, Adestra.
The new “Preference Centre” area of the website has been completely custom-built by Adaptive and enables users to create an online account through which they can then directly manage their communications and marketing preferences from UCB and will also eventually be able to use the service to prioritise what content they see first when visiting the UCB website.
In the background, data is synced between the Drupal website, Raiser’s Edge and Adestra systems to ensure all details and preferences are updated quickly and securely. Giving users full visibility and control of their data and marketing preferences is a key step towards ensuring UCB meet their commitments with the new GDPR regulations coming at the end of May.
The integration aspect of the project was particularly complex and challenging so it was great to see the site launch after a great deal of hard work put into it by the teams at both Adaptive and UCB.
