From Outdoor Adventures to Team Challenges, Our Events Are as Diverse as They Are Memorable.

Team building at Adaptive isn’t just about problem-solving - it’s about creating memories. Whether we’re facing the elements in an outdoor adventure, cracking codes in escape rooms, solving a murder mystery in an atmospheric old courthouse, or walking the red carpet at a BAFTA-style awards night, these socials aren’t just fun - they’re key to maintaining the camaraderie and long-standing relationships that powers our team.

Virtual Reality Gaming

At Zero Latency in Nottingham, we enjoyed a truly immersive VR experience, where we battled zombies, tiptoed along the side of skyscrapers and generally made fools of ourselves to those watching.

A proper laugh was had by all where no-one was overly competitive... nope... not one bit...

Escape Rooms

We put our problem-solving skills to the test with an Escape Room challenge. Locked in themed rooms with only our wits (and each other), we raced against the clock to crack codes and solve mysteries. Spoiler: We escaped... but only just! Some quicker than others (ahem).

Outdoor Adventure Day

We geared up for dirt buggies, archery, clay pigeon shooting and a range of other activities made for a fun, but exhausting day.

Then onto a few drinks in the bar afterwards to tell exaggerated tales, including one from someone who shall remain nameless, claiming they pulled off the ultimate Robin Hood shot - splitting another arrow already lodged in the target. Whether it was skill or sheer luck, we’ll never know, but it definitely added to the banter.

Team Meeting & Ghost Walk

Following a Team Meeting where Kat received her 10 year Service Award, things took a spooky turn with a Ghost Walk through the haunted corners of Derby. Armed with only our courage and a (slightly nervous) sense of humour, we learned about the city’s eerie history. Some of it might even be true!

It was a bit chilly for some but a few drinks afterwards in warm, cozy bars soon restored spirits (see what I did there...).

Team Building Day

Perhaps my favourite event of the year, the team building day at The Heart of England was incredibly well organised and it was great to see the team working together on a range of puzzles, both physical and mental.

From mixing a smoothie on an exercise bike to building a go-kart (with a timed sprint (more of a jog!) at the end), it was great to see how well the guys faced the challenges together - with a smile on their faces but with a healthy dose of competitiveness.

Christmas Party & Awards Ceremony

We rounded off the year with a Christmas Party that was just perfect. With a mixture of brain teasers and physical challenges (tallest construction made of marshmallows and spaghetti for example) for the team, fuelled by a few drinks, brought out the competitive spirit in the team.

Superbly organised by Larissa, the event was rounded off with an Awards Ceremony with (some questionable!) awards given out for the team's hard work and quirky "talents"!
