At Adaptive, we are proud to partner with Mencap, providing essential support, hosting, and development services for their Drupal platform.

Recently, Mencap collaborated with Omaze to launch a fundraising campaign that raised an incredible £3.9 million to support people with learning disabilities.

A grandmother from Dorset, who has worked with homeless people for 20 years won the keys to a beautiful house in Yorkshire worth over £2.5 million - along with £250,000 in cash - for just £10.

Mencap collaborated with Omaze to launch a fundraising campaign that raised an incredible £3.9 million

Ahead of the campaign, this is what Mencap said they could do with the money received from the partnership:

  • £1,000,000 could fund our campaigning work for a year and specialist legal support for eight families.
  • £1,500,000 could fund groundbreaking research, the learning disability helpline and specialist legal support for eight families.
  • £2,000,000 could fund two years of campaigning work and a groundbreaking research programme.

AND £3,000,000 could fund two years of campaigning work, two years of running the learning disability helpline AND a groundbreaking research programme.

So, to raise £3.9m exceeded all expectations and helps Mencap to continue their amazing work for those with learning disabilities.

We contributed to this achievement by supporting, hosting and developing the tools that enabled Mencap to build and optimise their fundraising pages effectively. This collaboration exemplifies how our commitment to supporting impactful organisations can help drive positive change.

We are excited to continue our work with Mencap and look forward to supporting their future initiatives. Together, we’re making a difference!
