The Society of College, National and University Libraries (SCONUL) represents all university libraries across the UK and Ireland as well as national libraries and many of the UK’s colleges of higher education.
SCONUL promotes awareness of the role of academic libraries in supporting research excellence and student achievement and employability, and represents their views and interests to government, regulators and other stakeholders. It also manages the SCONUL Access Scheme, which enables university library users to apply to be able to borrow or use books, journals and facilities at other libraries which belong to the scheme.
Our work with SCONUL
We were approached by SCONUL at the start of 2016 as they were looking for a new agency to provide ongoing support and development for the SCONUL website along with two smaller sub-sites.
Having successfully been awarded the tender, we initially provided detailed technical and functional Drupal Site Audits and have since been working ongoing with the team to support and further develop their online presence, including maintaining their two key areas of bespoke functionality - The Access Scheme and their Annual Statistics report which is compiled from surveys of all SCONUL members.
