It could not be easier. There is no actual site transfer so there is zero risk. 

We liaise with Pantheon and change the billing.

If you do not already have AGCDN + WAF then there will need to be some DNS changes to make benefit of the extra security and performance but again, zero downtime.

Typically, moving to Adaptive mid-contract isn't a problem. We have a fantastic, long standing relationship with Pantheon where completely focused on providing the client with the best solution.
