About NHS Nottingham University Hospitals
DREEAM is based in the Emergency Department of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and designs and delivers research, education and health promotion across a range of acute healthcare settings.
They deliver a range of healthcare-related courses, both on-site within the emergency department and also online via an e-learning platform.
Our work with NHS Nottingham University Hospitals
DREEAM approached Adaptive in 2020 with a view to picking up and completing their part-built website, which had struggled to reach completion after more than two years in development.
Adaptive worked with DREEAM to fully evaluate their aims and goals for the new website and to provide our expert advice on how the website should look and function to best suit their target audience. We then set to work designing and building a completely new website in Drupal to promote the department and to enable students to search and book courses directly online.
The website editor tools have all been configured in such a way as to enable non-technical website editors to create and maintain attractive and varied content pages across the site with ease. Since launch, we have further developed the bespoke course booking functionality on the site to add additional features and booking options.
Utilising Drupal's 'Domain' suite of modules, we have also created additional course booking platforms for other areas of NUH from within the same Drupal installation. Further enhancements were added to the platform in 2022 to enable the booking of internal training courses across the whole of the Trust.
We continue to support DREEAM in moving the website forward and are supporting their digital strategy and marketing work to further increase traffic, engagement and course bookings within the website.

We had been working on our website for a few years [with another developer] but, never launched it as we felt it missed the mark and never truly represented us as an inter-professional service.
Working with Adaptive really opened our eyes to the possibilities that our website could offer us. Adaptive took the time to understand us as a team, and this is reflected in our amazing website. It’s opened up so many new opportunities for us to grow and develop as a service (within a large NHS Teaching Trust) and as a business.
Adaptive has identified solutions rather than barriers to help us make our website a truly exceptional resource for our staff and students.
