Breath of fresh air for Dutch ventilation market

This month saw the launch of the first phase of an exciting redevelopment project for one of Adaptive's longest standing clients, Vent-Axia.

Vent-Axia are a leading international distributor of ventilation, heating and air conditioning equipment and are credited with having produced the world's first ever electrically-operated, window fan back in 1936.

Having worked with Vent-Axia since 2008, we're excited to be currently working on a new website for the business which will not only replace their current UK-targeted site at www.vent-axia.com but also launch as dedicated country-specific sites into international markets too.

"I think the new site is well arranged, easy on the eye and looking really, really good!"

The first of these international sites, for the Dutch market, launched at the start of this month at www.vent-axia.nl. Featuring a clean, responsive design, the website showcases the various products available to the Dutch market with detailed specifications for each and areas to enable customers to contact the company, email an enquiry or request a call back. Custom modules also enable customers to search and select multiple manuals, wiring instructions and other documents and download these as a collection of PDF files.

Speaking about the new website and the project to build it, Marketing & Communication Manager for Vent-Axia in the Netherlands, Roxanne Lenzen, said "We're all very pleased here in the Netherlands with the new website. To me, what I personally found really great about our collaboration [with Adaptive] was that all my questions and remarks for adjustments/translations were treated really fast. I was very happy about that."

The new platform utilises Drupal's "Domain" module to enable multiple sites to be launched from the same single Drupal installation. Drupal's suite of multilingual modules has also been used to provide the translations tools to be able to launch these multiple web sites in different languages for their target markets.

While the new Dutch site is intended as a showcase/brochure of the company and their products, the full UK version of the site, set to launch later this year, will continue to offer online ordering of products along with various other services and features already available on the UK site. As part of the redevelopment project, we will also be working to integrate the new website with Vent-Axia's upcoming new internal ERP system.

Adaptive's Head of Client Services, Steve Allen, said: "Adaptive have been working with Vent-Axia for over eight years and we're proud to be continuing our fantastic relationship with the VA team as we work on the new website project with them.

"The new Dutch site represents the first of a number of websites which we expect to be launching from the one single Drupal instance, providing dedicated, language-specific sites for many of Vent-Axia's markets around the globe.

"We continue to work with the team with a view to launching the fuller version of the site for the UK market later this year, including the challenge of integrating the site with VA's new internal ERP system which is launching in the business in the coming months."
